Introduction to CLC

Kaohsiung is located in southern Taiwan. It is a warm welcoming city. Kaohsiung is one of the major cities in Taiwan, a maritime city with mountains, beaches, a river and a harbor. Our friendly environment, cultural opportunities and rich natural resources makes Kaohsiung ideal for people who like a leisurely life of work and study. 

Wenzao was founded in 1966, as the one and only academic institution dedicated to the study of foreign languages. The Chinese Language Center (CLC) was established in 2002. Offering both academic and practical Chinese courses, CLC has attracted people from all over the world to study Chinese at Wenzao.

Freeway 

  1. Southbound: Exit from the Dingjin Interchange System (left lane towards Zuoying at Exit 362 km), and turn left from Mintsu Road(No. 1 Provincial Road) about 1 km. 
  2. Northbound: Exit from the Dingjin Interchange System (right lane towards Zuoying at Exit 362 km), and passing through Dazhong 1st Road, and turn left from Mintsu Road. 

From the HSR Zuoying Station 

  1. BUS: Dingzhong Road Entrance: Bus 3/ R35; Mintsu Road Entrance: Bus 90.
  2. TAXI: From the HSR station to the school about 1 km.

From Kaohsiung International Airport

  1. BUS: Take the Special Line of "Airport一Nanzi" at Kaohsiung International Airport to Wenzao University.
  2. TAXI: (Cf. highway north): about 25 to 30 minutes.

Sin embargo, cuando un profesor realmente ama todo lo relacionado con los lenguajes, la lingüística, la semántica la historia detrás de cada carácter chino, el poder de las palabras en la sociedad y cómo la simbología de estos caracteres han ayudado a difundir el modelo de sociedad que ellos mismos han proyectado, el empoderamiento político a través de la evolución de un lenguaje sobre otros, etc, los profesores te hablan hacia la continuidad. Ellos te apoyarán y darán muy buenas herramientas cuya información y conocimiento, será apasionante. Học tiếng Hoa cùng giáo viên bản ngữ tại Trung tâm Hoa Ngữ Đại học Văn Tảo đã giúp mình tự tin hơn khi giao tiếp với người bản xứ. Với sự chỉ dạy nhiệt tình, tâm huyết, dễ hiểu của các vị giáo viên, trình độ tiếng Hoa của mình về ngữ pháp, phát âm cũng như 4 kỹ năng Nghe Nói Đọc Viết đều tiến bộ rất nhiều. Note: Both the student and Wenzao Chinese Language Center shall confirm the schedule after the tuition is paid. The class is conducted in the form of at least 2 classes per time and one time a week.

  • No Registration Fee is Required
● Note 
  • According to Ministry of Education regulations, students applying for the visa of studying Chinese or the ARC, must take 15 hours a week.
  • The textbooks are not included in the tuition. 
  • 50 minutes for each class.
  • The tuition is non-refundable.
  • An extra fee will be charged for requesting a specific teacher, different materials or special fields.

  • A financial statement, showing a balance of at least US$2,000*
    1. A financial statement issued within 3 months and shows an ending balance exceeding US$ 2,000 or its equivalent.
    2. If using a family member's financial statement, please ask her or him to write a guarantor letter stating willingness to support your stay in Taiwan.
    3. If you are a scholarship recipient, you may submit your scholarship certificate in place of a financial statement. A proof of bank loan can also be submitted in place of a financial statement.

NOTE: According to Ministry of Education regulations, students applying for the visa of studying Chinese or the ARC, must take 15 hours a week.

A Proforma Invoice of Tuition will be sent to the applicant by Email after the application is approved.

STEP 4 - Visa Application

  1. Sign up to VISA APPLICATION SYSTEM online, fill in the application form with your details. You must print the completed form, remembering to include the barcode provided. 
  2. Visit your closest ROC Representative office or your countries FOREIGN AFFAIRS OFFICE to apply for your Visa. 

NOTE: The admission letter is only for the applicants who need a student visa.

Register in person at the office of Chinese Language Center and take a proficiency test for class placement.

Tuition varies with the customized program content.

The CLC organizes tailor-made courses for groups from universities and international institutions. These customized programs are designed on the basis of the individual characteristics of each particular group. Combining active classes with cultural activities, students not only learn Chinese but also become immersed in the local culture. 
The numbers of hours, dates and content of study can be adjusted at the group’s request. The types of accommodation and trips can be chosen. Tutoring and opportunities of interaction with local students are available. We also offer other benefits to students and teachers wishing to accompany the group.
